Wellspring: Journal of Sustainable Public Health (Vol. 1 No. 1, 2026), published by the Gad El Haq Research & Publication Center in Parepare, South Sulawesi, is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 that focuses on advancing sustainable public health research. In its inaugural issue, the journal features five scholarly articles authored by researchers from Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI), covering critical areas in occupational health and safety (OHS), health promotion, and healthcare policy management. The published studies investigate diverse topics, including factors driving unsafe acts among cargo handlers at the New Makassar Container Terminal, the impact of tenure and work duration on fatigue at PT PLN ULPLTD Poka Ambon, the effectiveness of educational videos regarding traditional liquor consumption in Lembang Pondingao, the correlation between OHS programs and worker productivity at PT Sermani Steel, and the field implementation of the National Child Immunization Month program at the Simbang Community Health Center in Maros.

About the Journal

Wellspring: Journal of Sustainable Public Health is an open-access public health journal that publishes scientific works in the field of sustainable health, including health policies, environmental health, and global health development. This journal was first established in 2026 by the Gad El Haq Research & Publication Center, in Parepare, South Sulawesi. Wellspring is published twice a year, in June and December, and is currently in the process of registering its Online ISSN, a testament to our commitment to authenticity and professionalism.
